By Combining information regarding characteristic biomass for each vegetation formation with information regarding the relative cover fractions for each of these formations generalized relationships of biomass with rainfall were established:

Biomass = 0.09* e 0.045 X Precipitation

 

where precipitation is measured as cm/year.
